Leina's professional journey combines lived experience, journalism, grassroots advocacy, academic preparation and international engagement.

As the founder of Women Relief Services, formerly Gender Danger, she has worked to bring attention to issues affecting women and girls, particularly harmful practices such as breast ironing.

Her experience also includes participation in international platforms such as the UN Commission on the Status of Women and Women Deliver, alongside media engagements with BBC World Service and Voice of America.

She brings these perspectives into conversations with organizations, institutions and communities seeking thoughtful engagement and meaningful change.
